Oasis: the Tabloid Times

Liam and Noel Gallagher of Oasis, inspired by the Brit-Pop mania of the mid-90s... The background collage was the most interesting part to create. All the tabloid headlines were created from scratch in Photoshop, all the stories were typed in manually... Around 90% of them are authentic press news imported from various archives of the era... Only one had to be crafted by me because I wasn't able to find the original text, although the event described is true. I had loads of fun putting this together. Hopefully, it shows.

Grand Theft Auto

I've been playing me some GTA recently.
Such fun games and such great characters!

Sherlock

A not too ambitious piece of fan art, basically cleaned up and colored pencil sketches of main duo from the BBC series. I was too lazy to draw a London panorama for the background (which was the original idea when I decided to complete this), so I went along with a random underground map from Google... However, Baker St. ended up being visible (right above the O in the logo). Hope you like it!

World War Z

Quick character busts inspired by the film "World War Z" done in a week after I saw it in theaters. Gerry Lane and Israeli commando known only as Segen.

Liam Gallagher

Oasis' frontman Liam Gallagher from the mid-2000 period with a beard and sporting a Parka jacket and yellow Lennon-style sunglasses. Inspired by the singer's Glastonbury 2004 appearance.

Urke the Airman (2013)

Pages of my new comic. Actually it's a remake of my 2004 effort (you can still find it somewhere earlier in the bloglist or under the "comics" label).

Hippo madness

These two were done as gifts for my girlfriend. She's mad for hippos for some reason. The first pic features her fave tennis player Novak Đoković and her pekehund Mimi (RIP!). The second one wasn't supposed to turn out so sinister looking: it was only when I finished the rendering I realized it resembles the iconic scene from Coppola's "Apocalypse Now" in which Martin Sheen rises from the water, so I decided to name it "Hippocalypse Now".

Harry...

Inspired by the opening chapter of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" published in 2003 after five years of anticipation. The 2nd pic is just a simple fusion of two drawings, nothing special.
